FAQs

What is the best space heater for a camper?

The Espar AS3 B2L is one of the best space heaters for campers and vans. It connects directly to your vehicle's fuel tank, delivers 6824 BTU of heat output, and runs on 12V power with low fuel consumption of 0.04-0.07 gallons per hour. Unlike portable heaters, it provides safe, consistent warmth without condensation issues.

What is the best 12 volt heater for a camper?

The Espar AS3 B2L 12V heater is a top choice for camper heating. It draws only 11-26W during operation, making it ideal for off-grid camping. The included Easy Start Pro controller allows precise temperature management, and the genuine Eberspacher components ensure long-term reliability.

How do you heat a Sprinter van?

The most efficient way to heat a Sprinter van is with a fuel-fired heater like the Espar AS3 B2L. It taps into your main fuel tank and circulates warm air throughout the interior. Installation requires mounting the heater, connecting fuel lines via the auxiliary port, and wiring the 12V system with the included harness and controller.

What is the difference between diesel and gasoline van heaters?

Diesel heaters use diesel fuel and are designed for diesel-powered vehicles, while gasoline heaters like the Espar AS3 B2L run on gasoline for gas-powered vans. Both operate similarly, but you must match the heater fuel type to your vehicle's fuel system. Gasoline heaters require specific fuel pickups and safety considerations due to fuel volatility.

How much fuel does an Espar heater use?

The Espar AS3 B2L consumes between 0.04 and 0.07 gallons per hour (0.14-0.26 liters per hour) depending on the heat setting. Running on low for 8 hours uses approximately 0.32 gallons, making it extremely fuel-efficient for overnight heating during camping trips.
